WHAT TO BRING/WHAT TO WEAR

  • New Orleans weather will be rainy and hot in June. There’s always an afternoon shower, so please bring an umbrella.
  • A pillow, a blanket, sheets, and a towel is provided for you in Wall Residential College. We advise you to bring an extra blanket just in case.
  • All meetings will take place in the Lavin Bernick Center (LBC). Please bring a sweater for indoors at the LBC – it can get pretty cold inside the building.
  • Another form of transportation for your excursions of the city is to take the Streetcar, the oldest continuously operating street railway system in the world. Exact change of $1.25 (one way) is needed.
  • FITNESS OPTIONS

Take an early morning run or walk through oak trees, lagoons, and expansive green space at Audubon Park, located across the street from Tulane. Check out this site for a map and other details: http://www.auduboninstitute.org/site/PageServer?pagename=Facility_Audubon_Park_v2

Work out at Tulane’s Reily Student Recreation Center for $5.00/day. Simply provide the front desk of Reily with your name and mention that you are a part of NPI, and have a good work out! For more information about Reily, please check out this site: http://www.reilycenter.com/

    COMPUTER ACCESS

NPI participants will have access to Tulane’s Willow Computer Lab during their stay. Please print, read, and sign, a copy of our Technology Services Policy on Use of Computers and Networks, and bring the copy with you when you check in on June 16th. (Note: the language in this document is mostly geared for students, but the Willow Lab staff would like all visitors to fill it out for their records).
